I did not realize that I was engaging in rooted spiritual practices. Nor did I know I was planting the seeds for my first book. I simply listened to the whisperings of my heart and let it guide me. I did what I loved. I ran in the forest, I meditated by the creek, and I opened myself up to beauty and inspiration. Ultimately, I awakened a part of myself, words flowed, and a profound healing occurred. At least, that is the case for me. One moment, I think I have it pretty much figured out. I think I know the direction I’m headed. The next, I am uncertain. But like a planet blazing in space, my trajectory is not off course, rather it is unique and unequivocal. The curvature of my path, purposeful and beautiful. At first it led me to support women, children and families in need, preparing me and providing the necessary skills for my later work. I then became a mother myself and for many years devoted my time to my girls and my family. My journey as a mother inspired me to become a doula and create Mother Haven. This was a time of intense transition in my life. I was not only a new mother, but I was also losing my mother to cancer. The grief, loss, and pain I went through opened the door for a deeper discovery and healing. I became a restorative yoga and meditation teacher, I studied energy medicine and spiritual healing, facilitated workshops and created Live Inspired. My course skillfully wove its way through becoming a mother and losing a mother, the experience of grief and loss, intense transitions and powerful teachings. Everything I have learned, every lesson, every heartache, every teaching has brought me here, back home. To who I really am. While I am a doula, a mother, an entrepreneur, a yoga and meditation teacher, a healer, most of all, I am a passionate soul who loves to create, who yearns to write, and has a burning desire to inspire others.
